If you own a Ford vehicle you may be affected by this recall. According to CBS News, Ford recently announced a recall that affects over 1.3 million vehicles that are primarily located in North America. The recall was issued mainly due to problems with rear suspension and transmission control software.
My dealer told me in May that I needed new breaks, I didn't think that I did and the break light was not on. It's now January and I thought I better get them looked at but decided against the high price of my dealer. I found Dennis Johnson on the internet and was a little nervous not having a personal recommendation but I was worried for nothing! They took great care of me and were very courteous and professional! I had to wait for my car rather than drop it off and the waiting room and rest room were very clean (they had just mopped)! After looking at my car they asked me why I thought my brakes needing changing and I explained that my dealer said it was needed months earlier. They explained that I still had over 40% on my pads, they did recommend changing the front ones because of thumping on the road (my term-not theirs). They were also able to save my sensors so they did not have to be replaced! I cannot say enough good things about them!!!
I have used Dennis since they opened and they have always done a good job, been honest and reasonable. As far as I know the same Technicians have been there the majority of the time since they originally opened. There aren't turnovers like a lot of shops.
Happy Flag Day, from your favorite mechanics at Dennis Johnson's Auto Repair in Madison!
